Vancouver!!!

This has come a little late... due to the recent changing of flights, in order to go to places which i have never been before, i have been sacrificing a lot of my rest times and off days... so much so that i am always tired and weary...

This flight came knocking on the door and i kinda couldn't resist it... Destination-wise, i have no regrets but the entire trip is something which has its goods and bads and definitely it can be better and i shall just leave it as that... enough said...

Flight into Seoul... there is nothing much cos the stay is probably too short to do anything else except explore the city area... Went down to Myeondong for some shopping and to kill some time... the girls simply went crazy over the facial products and me... just indulge myself with the krispy kremes and baskin robin's ice cream... hhaha.. shopping for grocery and local produce were left to the last leg where we would be back in Seoul for a night. However, this time, i managed to get to Dongdaemun, which i heard was quite happening like Myeondong, but to my dismay. it was a wholesale centre and we arrived too early and too late cos the supposed shopping streets were closed and the wholesale centre wasnt openned yet... so the few of us just chilled out in a CANAL. yes, canal.. you heard it right... but it was beautifully done up and decorated that its out of the blue in the middle of a busy city. With river and fountain, pretty windy as well.. which is quite surprising, many people came to sit down by the river and chill out and relax.. many armed with books and cameras, just sitting there idling...

Next day was flight into Vancouver, voted as one of the top 3 places to live in in the world. Its hard to see why wouldnt anyone wanna retire there.. though the place is city life, there is bayshore marina, the lifestyle is relaxed, calm and peaceful. The pace of life is rather slow too, rather in contrast with the city outlook that it has. Its just peaceful and serene, we went for dinner and decided to go to a nearby park to cycle, but we were too late as the bicycle shops were closing, so we could only go by foot and we din get to go very far and missed out on all the sights and famous spots in the park... tts the Stanley Park by the way... it has to be done the next time i get to Vancouver. On the way back, we kinda witnessed a crime in one of the nearby condos that we passed by. Police cars arrive in droves and surrounded the condo. the local police armed and some with rifles dash into the building, we were left outside wondering what happened. meanwhile we couldnt resist but stole a few precious moments to take photos with the police cars... before heading back to the hotel to prepare for the next day. Trip to Whistler....

Early morning, we had to get up, we went opposite the hotel to Denny's for breakfast before heading out to Greyhound's Station for our Transport to Whistler. Apparently, there is also the Campilano Suspension bridge which is worth seeing but its not on the way since we are not driving. So that too was written on my to do list for the next Vancouver visit. the journey there was pretty long and we were travelling on the highway which was under repair, but there was beautiful scenary along the way and i couldnt stop snapping photos.

Reaching Whistler, we rushed up Blackcomb mountain on advice before the park closes. Summer Skiing was available there, its so exciting to see people ski and we are not doing it. So the next best thing is to be camwhore.. and thats what we did... nonstop phototaking, but i must admit that i am envious of them, i wish to be skiing too... I simply must do it the next time i am here... Time not permitting, by the time we got down from Blackcomb, there wasnt enough time to go up Mt Whistler, so that shall be left for next time to be accomplished together with skiing i hope. after that was filling up out stomach before heading towards our transport back to the city... its pretty sad that this flight is short and we hardly get to stay ard much, everything was done in a rush, can hardly enjoy myself.

but never mind... I will be back again VANCOUVER!!! for Stanley Park, Lion Head Gates, Campilano Bridge, Mt Whistler and Skiing of course....
