Stonehenge: My first 7 wonders of the World

In London now,
so many things has happened recently that i couldnt sit down to blog about though i wanted to...
maybe i can backtrack a little...
i did a team flight to sydney with my team members on board... it was kinda exciting to meet my team for the first time, though my team members werent exactly the cranky sort like what Celeste mentioned but they are all very nice indeed.. So i am highly grateful for them all the same:)

was staying in Hilton in Sydney, had plans to go out roaming at darling harbour initially, but effects of the flight took toll and just konked out after lunch with the team, so all plans of hanging out at Darling harbour went up in smoke, together with pancakes at "Pancakes on the Rocks" and catching a glimpse of harbour bridge and sydney opera house again. Nvm, i am going again soon, so maybe i can attempt to go to at least one of each... Weirdly, my room was facing the some office buildings, looking through the glass panels, i suddenly miss the routine and the challenges of climbing up the hierarchy ladder, taking on projects and overcoming challenges. I think i do enjoy the thrills of meetings and having my own well-equipped office, sitting behind my desk, sipping my coffee and readings papers before starting work for the day. I guess its my inner calling to return to the corporate world one day? maybe its the fatigue of flying... its really draining and energy sapping besides the fact that you get to travel and see things around the world. Its not as glamourous job as people would think, we are getting overworked anyway.. I think i dont mind working in Aus one day, besides HK or Japan, the cities that i sooo like...

After Sydney, Maldives!!!
the one place which i have been wishing to go... the nice sandy beaches, super beautiful sea and dive sites. Time not permitting, i din get to dive but managed to went snorkelling, its pretty amazing that so near the beaches that there are so many corals and fishes types, those that u wun even get to see in Singapore. Singapore waters are terrible anyway, not like u can see more than 5 metres... saw baby sharks and octopus as well... so i was really intrigued by what i can see if i dive deeper... made me miss diving really, which is not helped when Yvonne went Similan Diving after that and Jasmine and Lionel practically are advertising diving on their msn nicks all the time. I just gotta find time to take my advance and go for more diving.. i miss it... din manage to take a lot of photos there though, shall steals ome from Mervin and post on facebook when i got the time.

anyway, back to London, particularly excited about this London because Amelia is my flight, first time i have anyone whom i really know on my flight, so i am very happy. Initially planned to go on the London Eye and Tower Bridge with her and watch a play too, but i dont think its gonna materialise with the limited time today left. So i am going to procrastinate my trip to Tower Bridge once again till the next London trip. Its time i meet up with Lawrence and Kelvin and others as well. And perhaps make a trip down to Cambridge to find Yunshan and Stephen. Think its about time that i accomplished what i wanted to anyway.

We went to the outskirts yesterday, me, ames, chris and jamie. kinda linked, cos i know ames for 4 years and i did flight with chris before and i am going to zurich with her again later this month and we are planning to pop over to munich!! haha.. exciting!! and Jamie is my couple-coded cos after jakarta and london, i am seeing her again for shanghai and we are going shopping and makaning and visitng the Pearl tower together. so kinda happy to have her around. My colleagues are nice so even though this is the worst London flight i did so far, but having them makes things easier... hopefully shopping is fruitful later... i seldom have anything to buy here anyway.. hope the flight back is good later.. not too tiring will be good. will blog again when i get back to singapore. lotsa stuff to settle with the cards and investments stuff.

Stonehenge was pretty far away, we had to take a tube to change to a train to the outskirts before changing to a bus. the entire journey took a good 3 hours to get there. majestic and mind-bloggering, its pretty amazing how ancient people heave those heavy stones up and it can tell the days and months so effectively even with the winter and summer solistice and it does seem to represent the social hierarchy at that time at the same time, with all the myths that aliens brought it, or conjured by Merlins or setup by the Giants and stuff... mythical and i am glad that i managed to visit it. The howling winds and the rain didnt dampen the enthusiasm though we were freezing... shall blog again when i get back. 6am now here... gotta get some rest before shopping later...
